David Miller Fails to DC Over the Line Despite Batting Heroics

The veteran South African batter surprised everyone and came out to bat again, especially when the team needed him most. After Rahul was dismissed on 92, the responsibility was taken by Miller, one of the best finishers in IPL. Despite being in immense pain, he produced a memorable knock, smashing 44 runs off just 44 balls, and helping his team almost chase the target.
The turning point in the DC vs GT IPL 2026 match came in the penultimate over, bowled by Siraj. The Indian pacer conceded 23 runs in the over, and the momentum was suddenly shifted towards the Capitals. Prasidh Krishna came to bowl the last over with 13 runs to defend. The pacer conceded 11 runs in the first four deliveries and it seemed like the match is over for Gujarat Titans.

Miller hit a humongous 106 m six, which is one of the longest six in IPL history and the biggest this year. With two needed off the last two balls, Miller denied an easy single, a controversial moment in the game. Krishna made full use of this opportunity as he bowled a slower short ball, beating Miller's bat swing and taking his team home in a thrilling fashion.
