Is MS Dhoni Coming to Watch Ravindra Jadeja RR Reunion at the ACA Stadium, Guwahati?

The RR vs CSK IPL 2026 match will be exciting to watch as both Sanju Samson and Ravindra Jadeja will be up against their former teams. Both players were part of a trade deal before IPL and would be keen to make their mark against their former teams.
CSK, under the captaincy of Ruturaj Gaikwad, would be hoping to make a strong comeback in IPL 2026 after having a disastrous last season. They finished last in the points table, achieving the unwanted feat for the first time in the history of the league.
Before their campaign in the next season begins, CSK have been hit by a lot of injuries with one of them being to former captain MS Dhoni. The keeper-batter has been ruled out of at least the first six matches due to a calf strain, which he sustained on March 22 during a practice session.
Will MS Dhoni Watch Ravindra Jadeja RR Reunion?
The match will mark Ravindra Jadeja RR reunion as well. The all-rounder started his journey with the same franchise in 2008 and now would be eager to take them to their second title win.
Meanwhile, MS Dhoni hasn’t travelled to Guwahati with the team. As per the reports in Cricbuzz, Dhoni is currently in Chennai, where he continues to rest as he recovers from the calf strain.
"Thala (MS Dhoni) picked up a calf injury during our training on 22 March, I think. He will be out for two weeks or so. He hasn’t travelled with the team & is recuperating in Chennai. His absence is a blow,” said CSK CEO to Revsportz.
The absence of MS Dhoni, one of the best players in IPL, will be a big blow for CSK as his presence surely lifts the team. His leadership experience would have helped Ruturaj Gaikwad, who now will have an even more difficult task to take his team to win.

"Sanju (Samson) will keep wickets in the absence of Thala. The way he was welcomed in Chennai in our pre-season event shows how much the fans love him".
In terms of batting, it is expected that Urvil Patel will be there as a batter. He is a specialist finisher, who can step up in MS Dhoni’s absence. CSK will also be without Dewald Brevis, who will miss the first few games due to a side strain.
