Mumbai Indians Captain Hardik Pandya Fined ₹12 Lakh for Slow Over-Rate

Mumbai Indian's captain Hardik Pandya missed his first match of the Indian Premier League 2025, he was handed a one-match suspension after his team failed to maintain the required over-rate against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the last league match. The captaincy in the 1st match was done by the stand-in captain Surya Kumar Yadav. However, the replacement for Hardik as a player wasn't possible, and Mumbai lost their first match of this year's IPL to their arch-rivals, Chennai Super Kings, by 4 wickets.

Hardik fined for slow over rate:

Hardik returned in the 2nd match and did the captaincy for the Mumbai Indians, however, the result didn't change, and MI lost the match by 36 runs. Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya has been fined ₹12 lakh after his team maintained a slow over-rate against Gujarat Titans, and this all happened after he had just come from a one-match ban.

However, this fine of ₹12 lakh doesn't affect his networth, as Hardik Pandya networth is over ₹91 crores.

BCCI has made some changes in the Rules about the Slow over rate for IPL 2025.
