The authorities earlier claimed that it was a floodlight failure, but later, it became clear that the Kings vs Capitals match was stopped due to possible attacks from the Pakistan side across the border.

Recently, the Indian Army launched a brutal attack under the ‘Operation Sindoor’ on the terrorist camps in Pakistan. The situation at the border is tense at the moment, with both sides on high alert.

The HPCA stadium in Dharamsala was immediately evacuated by the IPL authorities due to security reasons. It is something that has never been seen before in cricket. The spectators expected the PBKS vs DC match to continue after a suspected floodlight failure, but the authorities decided against taking any risk.

The 58th match of IPL 2025 between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was cancelled midway when the former team was batting. There were speculations about the match continuing on any other day. After the fall of his wicket, the match was called off as the officials termed it a technical failure. Meanwhile, Prabhsimran Singh remained unbeaten on 50 off just 28 balls at the other end.
