Earlier, RCB confirmed that five of their seven home games will be played in Bengaluru, while the remaining two matches will be held at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur.

Tickets for this event are usually released about one to two weeks before the scheduled date, but there has been a delay this year due to the controversy surrounding the Chinnaswamy Stadium, and there is still uncertainty around the occurrence of the RCB Unbox Event 2026.

RCB Receives Permission to Host Matches in Chinnaswamy Stadium

The Karnataka State Cricket Association has received official approval from the Government of Karnataka to conduct matches of the Indian Premier League at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The ground will stage the first game of the season, with some of the best teams in IPL, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad set to clash on March 28.

The approval comes after talks between state officials, the KSCA and RCB over managing large crowds at the stadium, especially keeping in mind safety and crowd control after the stampede during RCB’s title celebrations in June last year.

The venue is ready to host all its planned matches in the upcoming IPL season. Along with the opening clash, the Chinnaswamy Stadium will hold five of RCB’s home matches, while the team will play the other two home games in Raipur, and the ground will also host one playoff match and the final.
