A stampede-like chaos has erupted outside the gates of Chinnaswamy stadium, and 10 people are feared dead and 24 injured, including a six-year-old girl. Shukla quoted on the situation, as per ANI:

Trophy Parade or a Mourning Parade?

RCB Trophy parade on 4th June 2025 turned out to be one of the darkest evenings of Bengaluru, where the Chinnaswamy Stadium Stampede claimed 11 lives and more than 50 were injured. RCB announced an open-bus ride to celebrate their first IPL win, followed by a trophy parade at Chinnaswamy Stadium, but it was cancelled due to the Bangalore Traffic Police's disapproval of providing security over there.

This turned out to be an unforgettable day where more than 3 lakh people came to the streets in celebration of RCB winning the IPL and converted the trophy parade into a mourning parade. The Bangalore Traffic Police announced that there will be no trophy parade and but only stadium facilitation to be done around 12 p.m., where in the next 3 hours, RCB announced that there will be victory parade at 5-6 p.m. followed by celebrations at home of champions and free passes can be availed through the official RCB shop. The huge crowd was expecting an entry to witness the celebration, but the management turned it into a stampede where the sudden downpour triggered the people and panicked them to get inside the stadium.

This confusion and mismanagement turned out to be a disaster, where the RCB was celebrating their first IPL win inside the stadium, and the situation got worse outside the stadium, where a stampede happened, claiming a lot of innocent lives. While the question remains unanswered about the responsibility of the incident that happened, the BCCI is not taking responsibility and putting the blame on RCB, as it was the franchise's decision for the celebration. But, when the Bangalore Traffic Police denied the security for the celebration to prevent this kind of situation, but was insisted by the franchise and this turned out to be an unforgettable day, where the Chinnaswamy Stadium Stampede will always be remembered with the RCB's first IPL win.

RCB Official Arrested

The Chinnaswamy Stadium Stampede incident has taken a turn around. Karnataka CM has announced the arrest of the representatives of the RCB franchise, DNA Entertainment Private Limited, and KSCA. Nikhil Sosale, Head of marketing and revenue for RCB, has been detained by the Bengaluru Police in this case, along with the arrest of three staff members of the event management firm, DNA Entertainment Private Limited, identified as Kiran, Sumanth, and Sunil Mathew were detained for questioning.

This was followed by an FIR filed against them and the suspension of Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda, along with other senior police officials, after the horrific Chinnaswamy Stadium Stampede, which cost eleven innocent lives and left several injured. This may even cause legal trouble to the RCB star, Virat Kohli, where social media is filled with Virat Kohli Arrest. He was a part of the Trophy parade and victory celebration, which resulted in the terrifying Chinnaswamy Stadium Stampede. Virat and Anushka were seen at the Mumbai Airport, where they might have left for London.
