Over 350 players have been registered to get under the hammer for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 auction. Currently, the auction is underway in Abu Dhabi. As the auction started, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) dominated the bidding wars since they had a large amount to get in the IPL auction. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) roped in Australian all-rounder Cameron Green for Rs 25.20 crore and Sri Lankan fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana for Rs 18 crore.

1. Jake Fraser-McGurk

As the IPL Auction 2026 started, Australian opener Jake Fraser-McGurk was the first player to get under the hammer. Even though his base price was Rs 2 crores only and none of the ten IPL teams expressed their interest in him. Jake Fraser-McGurk became the first player to be unsold in the IPL auction 2026.

Ahead of the auction, Delhi Capitals (DC) released him from the squad. The aggressive opener from Australia made his IPL debut in 2024 for the Delhi Capitals. 2. Rachin Ravindra

Rachin Ravindra, an all-rounder from New Zealand, went unsold in the ongoing IPL 2026 auction in Abu Dhabi despite having a base price of ₹2 crore. This followed Rachin Ravindra's release by the Chennai Super Kings prior to the IPL 2026 auction. At the IPL 2024 auction, Rachin Ravindra was picked by Chennai Super Kings for ₹1.8 crore, marking the start of his Indian Premier League career. Ravindra played in 18 games and scored over 400 runs over the 2024 and 2025 seasons, demonstrating his left-handed batting flair and fielding prowess with a highest score of 65 not out.

3. Prithvi Shaw

At the IPL auction, Prithvi Shaw failed to draw any bidders once more in IPL auction. Before the domestic started Shaw moved from Mumbai to Maharashtra. After performing well in domestic cricket Prithvi Shaw had a base price of Rs 75 lakh. However as his name came up in the auction non of the team was interested in him to buy him.
