Pakistan legend Wasim Akram has given a blunt statement on the best cricket league in the world, Indian Premier League. During the PSL roadshow event in the UK, Akram taunted the IPL and its long duration, and in the process, also lauded his country's own league.

Wasim Akram was present during the long awaited PSL roadshow in Lord's which comprised some of the star cricketers from Pakistan and also the PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi. During the event, Akram was sitting with Naqvi and commentator Ramiz Raja and said something that wouldn't please the Indian fans.

Wasim Akram Taunts IPL for its Duration

During the event, Wasim Akram was asked about the Pakistan Super League's growth. The former Pakistan pacer, who is also regarded as one of the best bowlers in the world, taunted IPL's long duration by saying that the league doesn't end and continues for a prolonged period of time.

Usually, Akram enjoys massive fan following not only in Pakistan but also in India. The legendary left-arm pacer has often praised the Indian cricket structure in the past for their immense growth in the sport. However, this Wasim Akram statement on IPL might not please the Indian fans as much.

Previously, Wasim Akram on IPL comments have been usually positive as the former cricketer has lauded the league for the growth of Indian cricket. The IPL, being the biggest cricket league in the world, has produced plenty of talent for Indian cricket, which speaks volumes of its success over the years.

While Akram taunted the Indian league for its long duration, he also labelled PSL as the second best league in the world, only behind the IPL. It shows IPL's dominance in cricket as the league continues to grow as the years pass on.
