However, in a surprising turn of events, cheerleaders at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow were seen dancing behind steel nets. This presence of steel nets for cheerleaders can only be visible at this stadium, making the fans wonder about it.

Why Cheerleaders Dance Behind Steel Nets at Ekana Stadium?

The reason behind Ekana Stadium cheerleaders behind nets might surprise you. It is because a group of spectators were throwing notes and money at them with their contact numbers and various offers. This incident has hampered the stadium's reputation.

It might seem shocking but due to this reason, the stadium authorities coordinated with the IPL and ensured that the cheerleaders perform in the steel nets, keeping their safety and integrity in mind.

The misbehaviour by the fans is not something new to the Indian Premier League. Before this incident, there have been several instances of brawls between two sets of fans. Not just in the stadium, one such incident happened few days ago in the IPL when a girl grabbed SRH opener Abhishek Sharma's hand as he was walking in the hotel that he stayed in.

Some other incidents involve the over-passionate fans trying to cross the railing to jump into the ground to meet their favorite stars. This has usually happened when some of the best players in IPL like Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, or Rohit Sharma play.

Three More Matches to Go At Ekana

The Ekana Cricket Stadium, which the home ground for Lucknow Super Giants, has hosted four IPL games so far. However, the home side hasn't performed well this season as they currently sit at the bottom of the IPL points table.

The stadium will host three more home matches for LSG this year and hope that it remains away from any controversy. However, to ensure that, they need to strengthen the cheerleaders security at Ekana Stadium.

Apart from the controversy, this is one of the biggest cricket stadiums in India. Unlike the other stadiums in the country, run-scoring isn't easy here given its long boundaries and the assistance to the bowlers.
