Delhi Capitals middle order batter David Miller was on the verge of creating history during his side's IPL 2026 match against Gujarat Titans at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Miller, was looked in superb form, was all set to take DC over the line.

With 8 runs required off the last three balls, Miller smashed Prasidh Krishna for a gigantic 106 m six over long-off. It turned out to be one of the longest six in IPL history and it seemed like a cake walk for the Capitals.

However, Krishna came back strongly and bowled a short ball at Miller's body which he pulled through backward square leg. Surprisingly, the South African star denied the single, leaving the fans and the DC team management in shock.

However, it turned out to be a brain fade moment as Miller missed the next one, which was a slower short ball. Titans' wicketkeeper Jos Buttler hit the stumps with a direct hit and the decision was referred upstairs. In the end, Kuldeep was found well short of his crease.

It was a heartbreaking moment for David Miller who was visibly distraught by the result. Miller, who is one of the best finishers in the world, was expected to win the game for the Capitals but ended up being on the losing side.

Meanwhile, it was the first win of the season for Gujarat Titans as they finally managed to get some points on the board. The narrow victory in the DC vs GT IPL 2026 match can be crucial in reviving their campaign.

The result also ensures that Gujarat have further strengthened their numbers in the DC vs GT H2H record. The Titans will now face LSG at Lucknow on April 12 while the Capitals will be up against CSK at Chennai on April 11. With this defeat, DC missed out on an opportunity to take the top two spot in the IPL points table.
