Why did Anel Ahmedhodžić received red card in Sheffield United vs Nottingham Forest Clash?

Sheffield United defender Anel Ahmedhodžić was sent off in their match against Nottingham Forest on Saturday. In the sixth minute of added time, the Bosnian international was shown a second yellow for a foul on Nicolas Dominguez and subsequently given the marching orders with a red.
He is now set to miss their penultimate league game against Everton next weekend.
Ahmedhodzic first went into the books in the 75th minute when he caught Callum Hudson-Odoi with a late challenge. Deep into the stoppage time, the 25-year-old was guilty of another ill-timed tackle, this time on Dominguez, leaving the referee with no chance to brandish a second yellow, and then a red.
Sheffield United were down 10-men for the final seconds of the match, but the damage was already done, with Nottingham leading 3-1 at the Bramall Lane.
Sheffield United back in Championship
Sheffield United made a limp return to the Premier League, winning only thrice all season while losing a mammoth 26 times. The Blades’ return to the Championship was confirmed a few weeks ago when their relegation was confirmed. With only 16 points amassed, this Sheffield will go down in history as one of the worst in recent history.
