Reports: Barcelona star Raphinha offered €100 million by Saudi club

The side wants to ‘go all out’ for the Brazilian

Barcelona star Raphinha is wanted by a Saudi Pro League side following his impressive campaign with the Catalans. He is under contract with the La Liga giants until 2027 but could be tempted by the massive wage rise that comes with the transfer.

According to Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, one of the ‘most powerful teams’ in the Saudi top-flight is keen to bring Raphinha to the Middle East, a region that he has previously rejected offers from.

The unnamed club is offering £85 million for Raphinha, which is roughly £30 million more than what Barcelona paid for him to Leeds United in 2022.

Following a stop-start first season, the 27-year-old improved his game this time around, netting six goals and making nine assists in just 17 league starts for Barcelona. It will be interesting to see if the Brazilian accepts the offer.

Raphinha will be crucial to Brazil’s Copa America ambitions

Barcelona star Raphinha will be heading to the United States this summer with Brazil for the 2024 Copa America tournament. The Canaries are aiming for their 10th title in the competition and the winger will be crucial to their ambitions, with Neymar to miss the championship for Brazil.
