In the second half, both teams were involved in a tightly closed game when attacks were exchanged. It wasn’t until Fedri Kadioglu scored Brighton’s third goal five minutes before the added time. Wolves managed to get near again after Tommy Doyle scored. However, the visitors failed to score another one in the remaining time.

Goalkeeper

Jason Steele – 6.6

It was just a regular day in the office as he saved some but he also lost some opportunities to deny the ball away from his net.

Defenders

Jack Hinshelwood – 6.6

He did all the best he could to support Brighton’s attacking force down the flank. However, it was tough for Hinshelwoo to do so.

Adam Webster – 6.7

He cleared the ball off the box when it was crucial to keep it away from the goal. He also switched off when Wolves came to score a goal.

Igor Julio – 6.5

Had an important lesson today in his time guarding the defense area. He showed promising signs following the partnership alongside Webster despite needed improvement.

Pervis Estupiñán – 6.8

Helpful to provide passes and long balls down the flank. But it was the Wolves defenders who played solidly.

Midfielders

Carlos Noom Quomah Baleba – 7.1

Played with all his heart to keep the ball in their favour on the pitch despite facing a hard time dealing with Wolves’ players.

Jakub Moder – 6.7

Composed in the midfield and having hard times facing Wolves was understandable.

Simon Adingra – 7.2

His goal was what sets him apart from the rest of Brighton players today. Apart from that, he also showed a decent performance in the midfield area.

Yankuba Minteh – 6.8

Minteh showed serious hard work in the midfield throughout the match, keeping up with Wolvers’ attractive game.

Forwards

Had his shooting range limited and chances were denied throughout the match.

Julio Enciso – 6.6

Same as Ferguson, Enciso found deadlocks in his attempts to score against Wolverhampton.

Brighton needed his experience to keep the game under control. He was also expected to extend the gap by scoring another goal which failed to be materialised.

Yassin Ayari – 6.7

Brighton needed fresh legs and that was when Ayari came in to replace Jakub Moder in the middle of the second half.

Mats Wieffer – 6.6

Leading one goal was not safe enough for a team to conclude the game and that was when Wieffer came on. He was an addition to Brighton’s exhausted squad in the second half.

Ferdi Kadioglu – 6.7

Bring stability when he came on in the second half which led to Brighton’s third goal. He put his name on the score sheet to extend the gap

Tariq Lamptey – 6.8

Came on to bring more pressure for Wolverhampton. His linkup with another player including Kadioglu led Brighton f the third goal.

Manager: Fabian Hürzeler – 7

The young tactician proved once again that he was one of the most prospective names on the scene with his spot-on decisions and tactics.

Not a bad performance by Pond statistically. But Pond had a tough challenge from the opposition gameplay

With clearances and interceptions he had, Bueno put on a decent performance alongside Pond inside the box.

Penetrated the flank in search of a goal but found it hard to tear the defense down,

Midfielders

João Gomes – 6.7

Gomes had to keep up the pace alongside Doyle and Hee-chan to keep the game under control. However, it was not a single job for him.

One of the most marked players on the pitch, making it difficult to have a proper shooting space and give the opponents pressure despite scoring a goal.

Substitutions

Mario Lemina – 6.6

Not an easy game for Lemina as he had to deal with Brighton who had a huge morale boost in front of their crowd at home.

Matheus Cunha – 6.6

As Wolves pushed for a goal, Cunha came in to replace Hee-chan to give a fresh pair of legs in the second half.

Nelson Semedo – 6.6

It was not a bad performance by Semedo. However, there was also nothing special with his performance today as he worked hard to clear the ball away from the area.
