Casemiro Injury Update: Brazilian left confused with doctor’s assessment of his injury

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro is in a baffling situation regarding his physical condition. He felt something wrong with his hamstring prior to the Liverpool game and spoke about it with the club’s doctor. The doctor then found nothing worrying about Casemiro, giving the former Real Madrid player signal to play.

Dissatisfied with the doctor’s assessment, Casemiro reported the issue to his personal doctor from Barcelona. As opposed to the verdict Man United’s doctor has given before, the doctor found a small injury in the area.

Casemiro’s injury could worsen upon pushing

It is even said that if Casemiro pushes himself to play against Liverpool in April, the injury could worsen. He has already been left out of the Brazilian squad prior to their friendly against England at Wembley this weekend.

Casemiro has not played since the league game against Everton at Old Trafford in which he played 90 minutes. So far this season, he has featured in 21 games for The Red Devils, scoring five across all competitions.

Casemiro is not the only one injured at Manchester United

Man United are dealing with an injury crisis with multiple key players sidelined at the moment. Apart from Casemiro, the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, and Jonny Evans also have been ruled out due to injury.

Not to mention several backup players such as the goalkeeper Altay Bayindir, two young players Omari Forson and Tyrell Malacia are also unfit, while Anthony Martial is struggling with his United first team spot.
