Jamie Carragher brutally slammed Casemiro after Crystal Palace vs Manchester United

Crystal Palace vs Manchester United ended in a humiliating 4-0 defeat for the Red Devils at Selhurst Park. They were battered by the Eagles and the defeat damaged United’s hope of qualifying for Europe.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester United: Casemiro urged to move to MLS or Saudi Arabia

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has advised Casemiro to make a transfer to MLS or Saudi Arabia after a shambolic display against Crystal Palace on Monday night.

Manchester United have suffered their heaviest loss of the season and their European hopes have suffered a major blow after Monday’s humiliating defeat to Crystal Palace.

Casemiro had a night to forget when he was used as a make-shift centre-back as United are without first-team defenders Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane.

However, the Brazilian’s defending was branded ‘barbaric’ as he was at fault for both of Michael Olise’s strikes on the night. Olise sent the former Real Madrid flying for Palace’s third and nutmegged him with a classy backheel in the second half.

Carragher believes it’s time for the Brazilian to wind down his illustrious career this summer and drop down a few levels in the summer.

“I said at half-time that he had to bring Casemiro off. I know he’s got kids on the bench but I think Casemiro, I am being deadly serious, should know himself tonight as an experienced player, that he should only have another three games at the top level, the next two league games and the cup final, and thinking I need to go the MLS or Saudi,” said Carragher on Monday Night Football.

“I am nowhere near the level of what that man achieved, but I always remember something when I retired. It was a saying I always remember as a footballer. Leave the football before the football leaves you. The football has left him at the top level. He needs to call it a day at this level of football and move.”
