The joy of Al Nassr’s victory short lived as Cristiano Ronaldo hits the fans with one sad reality check

When we take a look at the players these days, rarely anyone over the age of 38 is seen playing. Being seen playing and making records at the age of 39, there’s a reason why Cristiano is an old testament.

The Portuguese International have always been in competition with himself and the numbers really don’t lie about his astonishing progress over the years. Be it his out-of-the-world fitness, unbeatable mindset, or the unmatched drive, whatever the roadmap is, it works for CR7.

In his podcast with his ex-teammate Rio Ferdinand, Cristiano mentioned how he still wants to complete on elite levels and make many more records. While that has given fans hope to see their role model for a few more years, it was until the post-match press conference against Al Rayyan when Cristiano Ronaldo mentioned:

“I’m enjoying playing football now and I know I don’t have much time left on the pitch”

Do we bid adieu to Cristiano Ronaldo?

The question is in the minds of fans worldwide after the bombshell has been dropped. It seems as if he is already aware of the limited time he has left on the pitch. It might just be a matter of time till we get to hear the news none of us ever want to. From Madeira to Saudi, fans across the world agree that it has been a privilege to witness his greatness and how he graced the football pitch. For many of us, Cristiano Ronaldo is the reason why we have started loving Football in the first place.

There is no doubt when the time comes it will be the hardest goodbye we ever bid to someone. There will be a million questions unanswered.

Geo’s comments on Cristiano Ronaldo’s retirement

The Belgian International Eden have recently commented on the stats of Cristiano Ronaldo. He jokingly said:

He’s gonna score goals till 50

Even though many fans wish it was true, the comments from Ronaldo’s partner Georgina had bad news for the fans. When asked about her partner’s retirement, the Argentine model mentioned:

“Cristiano one year, then it’s over. Maybe two, I don’t know.

Even his ‘football father” Sir Alex Ferguson has urged Cristiano to wrap up his career before the 2026 World Cup arrives. How many matches we get to see him is uncertain. For now, let’s not be sad it is coming to an end, rather let’s be glad that it has happened.
