Cole Palmer finally gets to play for England at the EURO 2024 after an impressive season. He came on for Bukayo Saka for the final 20 minutes and came close to scoring at the very end.

He finished the match with 22 touches and 100% pass success, while his only shot was on target – forcing Jan Oblak to make a low diving save.

Player of the match

Jan Oblak was key for Slovenia today and deserved to be named as the man of the match. He had to make just three saves, but keeping the clean sheet was key for them and it has helped them get the all-important point to make it through to the Round of 16.


England and Slovenia got what they needed today and will be delighted with the point. However, the fans of the Three Lions will be disappointed that their talented squad was unable to pick up another win.
