Feyenoord vs Bayer Leverkusen Player Ratings: Die Werkself run riot at De Kuip as they trash Feyenoord

Bayer Leverkusen came to De Kuip as the favourite to snatch three points. However, no one expected that the score gap would be so emphatically big. In the first time alone, Leverkusen led four goals to nil with two goals from Florian Wirtz, one from Alejandro Grimaldo, while the rest was an own goal by Feyenoord goalie Timon Wellenreuther.

However, the goal fest did not continue in the second half, as the score of 4-0 stood until the final whistle. This result secured third place on the recent Champions League table. Die Werkself were outranked only by Bayern Munich and Celtic, who won 9-2 and 5-1 in their respective opening games.
