Girona 1-4 Barcelona Player Ratings as Lamine Yamal’s brilliance help Blaugranas extend their lead to four points in La Liga

It was just Lamine Yamal’s show at the Estadi Municipal de Montilivi as Barcelona thrashed Girona at their home with a scoreline of 1-4. With this victory, Barcelona continues their winning run and remains at the top of the table with a four-point lead over bitter rivals Real Madrid. Yamal’s brace put them ahead at half-time before a stunning strike from Dani Olmo who added the third one just two minutes after the second half has started. This goal made him the third player of this century to score in the first three games of the league.

Midfielder Pedri completed the rout at the 64th minute as he picked the ball up centrally at the edge of the box after a through ball from Marc Cassado. He took the ball around the keeper to the left before calmly scoring into the empty net. Girona got a consolation through Stuani with ten minutes left on the clock and Ferran Torres was sent off after a rash challenge on Asprilla.
