Who are the winners of the Globe Soccer Awards: European Edition

Here we take a look at the winners of the Globe Soccer Awards in different categories from its European Edition:

Best Player of the Year (European)- The French international star Kylian Mbappe from PSG was recognized by the ‘Best Player of the Year’ award. The 25-year-old had a great 2023-2024 under his belt. The forward player emerged as one of the most influential players in world football during this period. Whether it was international competitions like the Champions League or playing for Les Parisiens at France’s top-tier domestic league of Ligue 1, Mbappe shined bright and delivered consistent performances.

Men’s Club of the Year- The Premier League giants Man City received the award for the ‘Best Club of the Year’ in the men’s section. The English club managed by Pep Guardiola went on to win its fourth consecutive Premier title by lifting the trophy for its 2023-2024 season. Man City were closely followed by Arsenal in the race for the England’s top-flight title for this season. But Guardiola’s side delivered strong performances all the way through the final matchday and clinched the trophy.

Coach of the Year- Bayer Leverkusen’s head coach Xavi Alonso was awarded the honor of ‘Best Coach of the Year’ at the Globe Soccer Awards. The Spanish football manager took Leverkusen to the Bundesliga title for the 2023-2024 season. Under his reign the club also witnessed the longest unbeaten run in their history, going on to a streak of 51 matches.

Best Women’s Club of the Year- Women’s Club of the Year honor went to FC Barcelona Femeni.

Some of the other honors distributed during the prestigious Globe Soccer Awards ceremony are as follows:

Emerging Player of the Year- The Spanish club FC Barcelona’s 16-year-old forward Lamine Yamal received the ‘Emerging Player of the Year’ award at the Globe Soccer Awards European edition.

Top Scorer of the Year- Bayer Munich’s number nine Harry Kane bagged the ‘Top Goal Scorer of the Year’ recognition at the Globe Soccer Awards. Kane has scored an impressive tally of 44 goals across all competitions.

Breakthrough Award of the Year- The Italian club Atalanta BC was given the ‘Breakthrough Award of the Year’ in lieu of their most recent UEFA Europa League title triumph. The club coached by Gian Piero Gasperini defeated in-form Bayer Leverkusen to clinch the prestigious trophy in a final held at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.
