Harry Kane sends warning to England teammate Jude Bellingham ahead of Bayern Munich-Real Madrid Champions League clash

The European giants meet again, as Harry Kane sends warning

Bayern Munich star Harry Kane has sent a ‘war’ warning to his England teammate and Real Madrid ace Jude Bellingham as the European giants clash in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Both sides had to work hard to get here, with Bayern knocking out Arsenal in the last round following a slender 1-0 victory in the second leg, whereas Madrid beat Manchester City on penalties after their tie finished 4-4 on aggregate.

Los Blancos and the Bavarians will now compete in an enticing two-legged clash to decide to who reaches the Wembley final. A top-billing encounter, it also brings England stars Kane and Bellingham face-to-face for the first time.

Kane, who has scored 39 goals to his name this season, had a message for Bellingham. Speaking at a press conference, he said:

“Jude has had a fantastic season, he’s a top player. I’m really happy for him but it will be another war against his team – but that’s the experiences that we both went abroad to try to achieve, to play in these big nights in the Champions League, to play in these big semi-finals. It will be one to enjoy and I’m sure there will be a lot of English fans watching both of us. We have to focus on ourselves. Of course, I’ll say hello but once we’re on the pitch, it’s business.”

Like Kane at Bayern, Bellingham has also impressed in his first season with Real Madrid. He has scored 20 goals and made a further 10 assists in all competitions from 35 appearances.

Bayern Munich host Real Madrid at the Allianz Arena in the first leg on 30 April before the return leg at the Santiago Bernabeu on 8 May.

Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich is European royalty

This is arguably the greatest rivalry in the Champions League history. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have played some absolute classics over the years at various stages of the competition, but primarily in the semi-finals. In 2012, the Bavarians edged Los Blancos in a thrilling penalty shootout at the Bernabeu before going on to lose the finals on home turf. Two years later, the sides met at the same stage, and the Whites exacted revenge with a crushing 5-0 aggregate victory en route to lifting the ‘La Decima’.
