The German football federation declared on Friday that Nagelsmann will continue to lead the national team following Germany’s hosting of Euro 2024, as agreed upon by both the supervisory board and shareholders.

Nagelsmann is “on the wish list of many big clubs across Europe,” according to federation president Bernd Neuendorf.

After the team underwent a reorganization last month, Nagelsmann, 36, oversaw a shift in attitude in Germany following victories over France and the Netherlands.

His initial contract was for a brief period, ending in Euro 2024, and he was brought in September to address a string of unsatisfactory performances under his predecessor Hansi Flick.
