Man Utd considering move for Eberechi Eze after learning his release clause

The Red Devils are reportedly exploring a move for Crystal Palace Eberechi Eze who has also been on the radar of their arch-rivals Manchester City in the summer window.

Manchester United have enjoyed a busy summer transfer window and brought in players like Joshua Zirkee, Leny Yoro and Manuel Ugarte as well as Matthijs De Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui. They are targeting another squad overhaul next summer and have identified Eze as one of their top targets.

Eberechi Eze has gone from strength to strength since joining the Eagles and has been linked with Man City and Tottenham Hostpur in the last few months. The English winger has scored 11 goals in the Premier League last season and reportedly has a £68m release clause which will activate next summer.

Will Man Utd make a move for Eberechi Eze?

Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze still has almost three years left on his current deal and is enjoying his fifth season with the Eagles. His incredible form last season earned him a spot with the Three Lions in Euro 2024 this summer.

Man Utd already have four wingers in their books despite offloading Jadon Sancho to Chelsea. The likes of Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Amad Diallo and Antony are all fighting for first-team roles.

Newcastle United are reportedly willing to make a move for Antony who has struggled to justify his £85m price tag. His departure would open the door for Eze who could be tempted to make a move to Old Trafford in 2025.

Eze has already proven himself in the English top flight and won’t struggle to adjust to life at Manchester United.
