Marco Reus Transfer: Borussia Dortmund legend considering move to MLS

The Borussia Dortmund legend is set to leave his boyhood club at the end of this season. Reus came through the BVB academy and has played 426 games, bagging 169 goals and assisting another 130.

He has lifted four trophies during his 12-year spell with the Bundesliga giants and has reached two finals in the Champions League with the latest being scheduled to play on June 1, 2024, against Real Madrid.

The 34-year-old attacker who has registered eight goals and nine assists in 39 appearances across all competitions will sanction an exit this summer after refusing to extend his contract with the Black and Yellow.

The former Borussia Monchengladbach star is considering an array of options before making a commitment in the twilight of his professional career.

Marco Reus Transfer: BVB star linked with a move to Inter Miami

Since the German announced his departure from BVB in the summer, Marco Reus has been linked with several MLS clubs including Inter Miami. He has reportedly agreed to join forces with Barcelona legend Lionel Messi according to a report from Patrick Berger of Sky Germany.

The 34-year-old has not yet announced where his future lies beyond the summer but former Arsenal player Samir Nasri informed about a possible move.

Nasri said on Canal+: “I talked to Marco Reus. He said he loves football too much to quit right now and will go to MLS next season.”

The report also mentioned interests from MLS side St. Louis City and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr. According to The Athletic, Reus is reportedly in talks with St Louis City over a possible summer transfer but no agreement has been made yet.

We can expect Marco Reus to make a crucial decision about his future after the Champions League final against Real Madrid on June 1, 2024.
