Michael Olise

Which Club Michael Olise would be More Suited to as the Crystal Palace Winger Attracts Interest from top Premier League Clubs?

Michael Olise tipped to a move away from Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window

The Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise has been garnering a fair amount of interest from several top Premier League clubs lately after a decent run of performances in the 2023-2024 top-flight campaign. As per various reports, Olise’s admires include English clubs like Man United, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Aston Villa.

Olise has nine goals and four assists to his name in 17 outings for the Selhurst Park-based club in the Premier League this season. While Man United is touted to be the most interested club as of now in the player, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Aston Villa also happen to be keeping tabs on the player. If the 22-year-old does end up at the Red Devils this summer, he could turn out to be a major impact player for them next season.

With United willing to give their squad an overhaul and start things afresh, players like Anthony may not be in their plans to be regular starters next season, and that could open the gates for Olise to leave his mark at the club by getting more minutes under his belt. When it comes to Chelsea, the Crystal Palace winger could become a pivotal part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans and add more attacking prowess to the Blues if the London-based club decides to get him in the next transfer window.

With Noni Madueke starting to find his feet at Chelsea, Olise could be an addition to that right-winger spot by providing Poch options at that position. On the other hand, the 22-year-old might not become the first-choice player at Aston Villa as Moussa Diaby and Emiliano Buendia are likely to have an impact on his playing minutes at the club.

Coming on to the Arsenal, Michael Olise can add to Michael Arteta’s team by serving as an option at the right wing, but he would be expected to pretty much be under the shadow of Bukayo Saka. So, with all said and done, it can be clearly depicted that Man United might be the most suited destination for the Palace’s number seven if he does decide to leave his current club this summer.

Oliver Glasner has succeeded in bringing the best out of Michael Olise at Crystal Palace

Under Roy Hodgson, Crystal Palace’s approach to matches in the Premier League was more sort of on the practical and safer side of things. The team maintained a low block often during phases of the game and then attacked when opportunities arrived for them. However, Oliver Glasner’s approach is more front-footed as his 3-4-2-1 formation allows players like Michael Olise and Jean-Philippe Mateta to have more influence on the game.

With Glasner giving the license to his winger Michael Olise to go and press as hard as he can and suffocate the opposition, his on-field presence is giving the opposition quite a lot of headache. Not only he’s holding his position down the sides well, but also popping up in certain pockets in the field including the attacking midfield areas through various junctures of a match and linking up the play nonchalantly with other players around him.
