Latest on Neymar Injury and his expected date of return: Will he be available for Copa America?

The former PSG and Barcelona forward has been a key player for Brazil over the years. Neymar Jr made a high-profile move to the Saudi Pro League in August to join Al-Hilal on a two-year contract. But the 32-year-old superstar suffered a knee ligament injury while on international duty with Brazil in September 2023.

Latest update on Neymar injury: When will he return?

The veteran forward underwent a successful knee surgery to repair anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus injuries in his left knee which he sustained in Brazil’s World Cup qualifying loss back in October 2023. But despite the successful operation, Neymar was expected to be out until the end of this season.

But Brazil were hopeful that the 32-year-old forward will be fit and available for the Copa America in the summer.

Back in February, Neymar was seen putting in work behind the scenes and was training individually in Saudi Arabia. ACL ruptures take 8 to 10 months to recover and the Saudi League ends in late May. The South American is pushing his body to its limit to make himself available for the last few weeks of the Saudi Pro League.

This unfortunate injury will prevent him from participating in the 2024 Copa America tournament which will take place in the United States this summer.
