In a battle between two ends of the spectrum, Nottingham Forest will face Man City on matchday 35 in the English Premier League on Sunday. Forest have enjoyed a topsy-turvy season, but now find themselves struggling to escape relegation with only four games in hand. Currently, Nottm Forest sit 17th in the Premier League only a point above 18th placed Luton Town. With only one victory in the last five games in the Premier League, Nottingham are desperate for a victory and a win against City could truly turn their fortunes.

Meanwhile, the visitors, Man City, are inching closer to yet another Premier League title. Pep Guardiola’s side found themselves locked in a three-horse title race a few weeks ago, but now are in pole position to win the league yet again. While Arsenal still pose a threat to City’s defense of the title, Pep Guardiola’s side have a game in hand over the Gunners and could very well end the week at the top of the table with a victory against Nottingham.

The Cityzens have been in fantastic form in the past few months and have won their last three Premier League ties in a row. While City weren’t in action in the league last weekend, their close 1-0 win against Chelsea in the FA Cup final will certainly boost their morale ahead of their tie against Forest.

Forest enter the tie on the back of a crushing 2-0 defeat against 16th-placed Everton. While the residents of City Ground weren’t impressive in the tie, they certainly didn’t deserve to lose. Adding to their woes, Forest will enter the Nottm Forest vs Man City tie without the services of crucial centre back Willy Boly. Apart from a heartbreaking exit from the UEFA Champions League against Real Madrid earlier this month, not a lot has gone wrong for Man City lately. The Cityzens have been phenomenal in the league recently and have already booked an FA Cup final against Manchester United. Their ruthless 5-1 victory against Luton Town was their last appearance in the Premier League and Pep’s men will certainly arrive at the City ground excited to treat Nottm Forest to a similar score.

For the first time this season, Man City will arrive with a completely fit squad as all players have recovered from injury recently. A nightmare scenario for Nottingham!
