Nike did not wait too long to paint the colours for Paris Saint-Germain as they launched the home kit for the next season.

The iconic Hechter stripe has got a perfect mix that provides a classic yet contemporary look, with Nike and PSG lifting the veil on the clubs’ jersey for the 2024/25 season, which is all set to grab the spotlight getting its debut by both the men’s and women’s team this weekend.

With the weekend set to feature the final fixtures for the 23/24 season for both men’s and women’s teams at the Parc Des Princes, the timing planned by Nike is perfect for presenting the new home kits for the 24/25 campaign. The Hechter strike is just more reverting in the new but old look giving it a more traditional presentation centrally with a perfect colour execution. But, what’s a PSG jersey without a twist, right?

A hand-painted look for the Hechter stripe reflects the history of Paris culture and, also creatively accentuates the French finesse. Furthermore, the shirt celebrates the connection of the nation, through the outer pride detail on the rear of the neck, which highlights the famous tricolour.

Since the 2021/22 season, the traditional colour formation of the Hechter stripe has been missing. Moreover, Nike has been using it as a common experimental element through the years. But now it looks like the fans have been all ears especially the Ultras, thereby giving it a more classic outlook for the 2024/24 season.

The in-built Nike technology

Nike always finds a way to add their special touch and this time they have given the latest high-performance technology and Dri-FIT ADV, designed to enhance athletic performance. Being developed using advanced body mapping technologies like 4D data analysis and computational methods. at the Nike Sport Research Lab (NSRL) in Beaverton, Oregon the jersey has an alluring feel to it.

Nike extends Paris Saint-Germain partnership until 2032

In June 2019, Paris Saint-Germain announced the extension of their partnership with the American sportswear Nike until 2032. They signed the “biggest sponsorship agreement” in French football history aiming to boost merchandise revenue to cope with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play Regulations.

Deep diving into the figures according to RMC sport, PSG will receive 75 million euros per season with the new deal, compared to a previous one of 25 million.

The president of PSG, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, said in a press release:

“The agreement represents a very important milestone, reflecting what the club has become on the global stage and the great ambitions we have for the future,”

Being a partner with PSG for three terms now has made the relationship stringer with the French club giving them an exclusive partnership with Jordan.

“Thanks to Nike and Jordan we have had a record season for shirt sales, one of the biggest in European football,” added Al-Khelaïfi, who wishes continue “this fast-paced growth and break yet more new ground in the years to come, especially in football’s emerging markets.”

“Paris Saint-Germain is a powerful global brand and this deal further cements Nike’s position as leaders within the football industry,” stated the VP of EMEA, Bert Hoyt at Nike. “We are delighted to extend one of the strongest partnerships in all of sport.”

According to a study, PSG has the third highest revenue in club football with an annual revenue of 802 million euros and is the seventh most valuable football club worth 4.1billion dollars according to Forbes
