Bernardo Silva scored the opening goal of the game in the 2nd minutes after Jack Grealish was brought down outside the box by Aurélien Tchouaméni. The Portuguese star caught the Real Madrid off guard and slotted the ball at the near post directly from the free kick.

Real Madrid were not behind for long as Edouard Camavinga’s shot deflected off Ruben Dias to make it 1-1 in the 12th minute. The tie was turned around a minute later as Rodrygo slotted the second, thanks to a slight deflection off Akanji.

Manchester City were trying to get back into the game for a long time, and needed the Phil Foden goal to get them back on level terms. The Premier League champions quickly took the lead after Josko Gvardiol scored with his weak foot from 25 yards out.

Pep Guardiola would be fuming as his side could not keep hold of the lead for long. Federico Valverde scored a sensational goal at the other end just 8 minutes later to make it 3-3 on the night.
