Uruguay coach Marcelo Bielsa has reportedly decided to rest Barcelona star Ronald Araujo for their upcoming match. The South American side take on Ivory Coast in an international friendly and defender’s work load is being managed.
As per a report in SPORT, Bielsa is aware of the number of games Araujo has played and is willing to keep the defender on the bench. He does not want the center-back to pick up an injury in a friendly match.

BILD have reported that they are willing to pay €100 million to sign the defender. However, Araujo is happy at Barcelona and told the media earlier in March:
“There’s been a lot of talk about this issue, but I’m happy in Barcelona. In addition, we have to finish the season well because there are still challenges, also with Uruguay with the Copa America.”
Manchester United are also keen on signing the Uruguayan star and are keeping tabs on his contract situation.
