Sheffield United vs Tottenham Player Ratings as Spurs seal Europa League spot

Tottenham Hotspur sealed their 5th place in the Premier League with a thumping win over Sheffield United on the final day.

They needed at least a point going into the final game to make it the Europa League. Spurs managed to avoid the banana peel and thrashed the already relegated side.

Without further ado, here are the player ratings:

Sheffield United Player Ratings

Wesley Foderingham – 7

The goalkeeper made six saves to keep the scoreline at 3-0. It would have been a lot worse for the home side if the shot-stopper was also off form.

J. Bogle – 5

Son was getting all the freedome he wanted in the game as the right-wing was unable to do much.

A. Ahmedhodžić – 5.5

The best of the lot today as he managed 4 clearances, and also blocked a shot.

A. Trusty – 5

He was always in the right place at the right time, but just could not get the Tottenham forward from easing past him.

J. Robinson – 4.5

Easily the weaklink in the defence today as he was getting beaten in every other move.

M. Lowe – 5

Spent most his time to block runs from Johnson and was hardly able to get forward.

Gustavo Hamer – 6

The only outfielder who was able to do something against the Tottenham players. He managed two shots, but none troubled Vicario.

Oliver Arblaster – 6

Played just 62 minutes and Chris Wilder was not happy with his performance. He managed just 23 touches.

Ben Osborn – 3

Forced off injured after just 5 minutes.

Cameron Archer – 6

Managed to get a shot away, but it was blocked with ease. Was isolated for the 62 minutes he played and managed 14 touches.

Ben Brereton Díaz – 6

The experienced striker was brought in to get the goals to save Sheffield United from relegation but he could not do that. Had two shots today, both blocked.

Vinicius Souza – 6

Came of for Ben Osborn and managed to decently well compared to the others on the pitch.

Andre Brooks – 4

Luckly to have remained on the pitch as he was seen having a go at Son Heung-Min but VAR overturned the decision. Managed just 10 touches and 6 passes in 30+ minutes.

Rhian Brewster – 6

The former Liverpool man could not do much after coming on for the final 30 minutes. Managed one shot, and it was off target.

Mason Holgate – 5

Brought on to add fresh legs to the defence, but instead went on to concede one more goal.

Daniel Jebbison – 4

Managed just one pass in the 20 minutes he played.

Tottenham Player Ratings

Guglielmo Vicario – 7

Was a spectator the whole game as he had to make just one save in the 90 minutes.

Pedro Porro – 8.5

Scored an absolute stunner to make it 2-0 for Tottenham, and seal their place in the Europa League.

Cristian Romero – 7.5

A solid outing for the Argentine who hardly had anything to do in defence. He managed to get close to scoring thrice but just could not get the ball into the back of the net.

Radu Drăguşin – 7.5

Similar to Romeo in defence as he was never troubled. Had to battle just one aerial duel and won it.

Micky van de Ven – 7

The pacy defender was playing left-back again and spent most of his time in the opponent’s half. Did not have anything to do in defence today.

Pape Matar Sarr – 7

Played over 60 minutes and was simply used to keep possession. Did not have to intercept any passes as Sheffield United did not trouble him.

Rodrigo Bentancur – 7.5

The midfielder was also having an easy time on the pitch and even managed to have a shot. While the shot was off target, he managed to win all his duels with ease.

Brennan Johnson – 6.5

Was having a tough time as Lowe was shadowing him everywhere on the pitch. Still managed tow shots, but none were on target.

James Maddison – 8

A solid outing for the Englishman as he finished off the season with an assist.

Son Heung-min – 9

No goals for the Tottenham captain but he was easily their best player on the pitch. He kept the Sheffield United defence on their toes and hurt them at every chance.

Dejan Kulusevski – 9

Similar to Son, the Swede was also having a briliant game upfront. He scored twice to seal the 5th spot for Spurs.

Pierre-Emile Højbjerg – 6

Came on for Sarr and managed to keep the possession for Tottenham.

Emerson Royal – 6

Brought on for Porro, is what could be his last appearance for Tottenham. Hardly had anything to do on the pitch.

Oliver Skipp – 6

Hardly had anything to do on the pitch after coming on for the final 14 minutes.

Dane Scarlett – 6

Hardly had anything to do on the pitch after coming on for the final 11 minutes.
