UEFA EURO Playoffs 2024 – Who will seal their place in the summer tournament?

The UEFA EURO Playoffs take place this week, and three spots are still up for grabs at the summer tournament. Twelve teams are set to battle for them via six semifinals and three finals this week to book their tickets to Germany.

Here’s predicting who could end up booking their tickets to Germany this summer:

UEFA EURO Playoffs Path A 

Semifinal 1: Wales vs Finland

Wales should come out victorious this week when they take on Finland at home. They won 3-1 when the two sides met in the UEFA Nationals League back in 2020 and are unbeaten in this fixture in the last three meetings.

Semifinal 2: Poland vs Estonia

Poland have only faced Estonia once and they ended up on the losing side back in 2012. However, they are the favorites to win it this month and should get a comfortable win over their opponents with ease. 

Final: Wales vs Poland

Poland are expected to seal their place in the UEFA EURO 2024 this summer should they make it to the final. They have never lost to Wales in any of the international meetings, with the last ones coming in 2022 when they clashed in the UEFA Nationals League.

UEFA EURO Playoffs Path B

Semifinal 1: Bosnia and Herzegovina vs Ukraine

Ukraine are the favorites to get the win when they face Bosnia and Herzegovina. They won 2-0 when the two sides met in the World Cup qualifiers back in 2021 and will b looking to keep that run going. 

Semifinal 2: Israel vs Iceland

The match of the playoffs semifinals this week should be Israel vs Iceland. Strákarnir Okkar should come out victories this week and that will be their first win over the opponents after finishing the UEFA Nationals League matches 2-2 in both meetings.

Final: Ukraine vs Iceland

Iceland picked up the win when they faced Ukraine in 2017 during the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. They will be the underdogs this year but will have to do a lot to get the win. 

Ukraine are expected to be the ones making it through to the UEFA EURO 2024. 

UEFA EURO Playoffs Path C

Semifinal 1: Georgia vs Luxembourg

It would be a big surprise if Georgia do not get an easy win, then they face Luxembourg this week. However, they will be aware of a banana skin as they lost 1-0 when the two sides last met in 2018.

Semifinal 2: Greece vs Kazakhstan

Greece are facing Kazakhstan for the first time in almost two decades. The two sides have been on a similar run lately but the home side should get a comfortable win and make it to the playoffs final.

Final: Georgia vs Greece

Greece managed to get a 2-0 win over Georgia when the two sides met in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers back in 2021. However, they have the better players and the ones in form this year and should be getting the win.
