WATCH: Vinicius Junior scores for Real Madrid at the Allianz
Real Madrid took the lead inside 30 minutes at Allianz Arena in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich. It was Vinicius Junior who slotted the ball into the back of the net, beating Manuel Neuer who was powerless when the ball glided past him.
The mastermind of that goal was Toni Kroos who found the Brazilian forward using his radar-like vision. The 2018 World Cup winner sent a through pass slicing the host’s midfield and directed it into Vini’s path who scored comfortably.
Vinicius Jr. scores fourth goal in the Champions League this season
It was Vini’s fourth Champions League goal this season and his 19th overall this season across the competition. Vini scored again after doing it last time in the Round of 16 against RB Leipzig. He failed to do so in both legs of the quarter-final against Manchester City. In the group stage, he scored twice against Napoli away and Braga at home.
Madrid wasted no time when the opportunity came after Bayern had been dominating since minute one. It was the visitor’s first shot on goal of the game and Vini punished Bayern’s defensive force.
