With Silva slated for a move back to his childhood club Fluminese in the summer, the defender attended his last end of the season Chelsea award ceremony last evening. However, as his name was called out, a video has emerged showing Thiago Silva in tears as the defender was about to speak from the stage. Watch the video here:

The veteran Thiago Silva joined Chelsea back in 2020 and has been a rock in the heart of the Blues’ defense. In his first season at Chelsea, the Blues went on to win the UEFA Champions League against Man City and clinched the closely contested final 1-0. Silva was initially slated only for a one year stay at Chelsea, but then decided to stay on at the club. The video displaying Thiago Silva in tears further showcases his love for the club. Now, Silva will play for Fluminese in Brazil and exit Europe at the age of 39 having won 30 major trophies. A legend!
