As the 2025 WNBA Draft night approaches, all eyes are on the star prospect from UConn, Paige Bueckers. Ahead of her selection in the draft, Bueckers is currently averaging 19.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game in this year's collegiate season. In fact, she was recently named as a finalist for the John Wooden award and has been selected to the All-American First-Team.

Bueckers also created history by becoming the first UConn women's basketball player to score 40 points in an NCAA tournament game and is currently leading her team in the Final Four stage of the NCAA tournament.

Many already consider Bueckers to be equivalent of Diana Taurasi in the WNBA. All the 13 WNBA teams are vying to get the 23 year old as part of their roster. However, which team is Paige headed to in the 2025 WNBA Draft? Let's find out.

On Friday, Paige Bueckers confirmed to former Huskies star and ESPN analyst Rebecca Lobo that she will be entering the 2025 WNBA draft following the ongoing NCAA Tournament. As of now, Bueckers is projected as the number one pick in the upcoming draft. Here are some of the top prospects where Bueckers might land with this year's draft

As of the current projections are concerned, the Dallas Wings are expected to select Paige Bueckers with their first pick in the upcoming 2025 WNBA Draft. The Wings went 9-31 in the last season, which has landed them the lottery pick in the upcoming WNBA draft. However, there were rumors that Paige might choose to stay for a fifth year at UConn or play in an alternative league just to avoid getting drafted by Dallas. However, as she had herself confirmed last Friday, Bueckers is indeed entering the draft this year and has the best odds to be drafted as the first overall pick by the Dallas Wings.

How is Paige Bueckers fairing so far in her collegiate season?

Paige Bueckers is currently a senior at UConn, leading her program to another Final Four appearance in the NCAA Tournament. She has been eluded of the national title so far and has the best chances of winning it ahead of the WNBA draft. Averaging 19 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 2 steals per game this season, Bueckers helped UConn hold a 31-3 record this season and win 10 straight games in March Madness.

In the last game against USC, Bueckers recorded 31-points to lead the Huskies to their 24th national semi-finals appearance. The Huskies will next face UCLA while on the other side, the semi-finals are between All-SEC teams South Carolina and Texas. Bueckers, for her contributions as a senior this season, has earned AP All-America honors and was the Big East Player of the Year for the third time. If she can win the national championship this season, she could perhaps become one of the hottest WNBA draft prospects, ranked in similar aspects to Caitlin Clark.
