WATCH: Paige Bueckers and DiJonai Carrington Exchange Playful Banter as Teammates

Paige Bueckers is finally warming up to her new team in the WNBA. Ahead of the season, the Dallas Wings are playing their pre-season matchups, through which Paige is still trying to find her footing on the floor with her teammates. The Wings veterans and players are definitely making it easy for the UConn star to fit in well, especially with their light hearted humor and banter going all around.

In a new video surfacing on X from Landon Thomas' handle, Paige and DiJonai Carrington seem to be on a friendly banter spree during a shootaround at the Wings training camp. From the looks of the video, seems like Paige is already quite up and about to be as good a trash talker as Larry Bird!

DiJonai tells Paige, “Can I get back warm? It's been about 35 minutes.” To this, Paige replies, “You're supposed to put it in the basket!” Well, DiJonai knew she had no counter for that, so she made up an excuse about her knees. “Don't act like you know I don't have bad knees,” Carrington replied. The entire exchange between the two was hilarious enough to make everyone at the training center laugh their hearts out.

Paige Bueckers and DiJonai Carrington Have Formed a Close Bond Together

The Dallas Wings' training camp is going on in full swing, with the players finding the right chemistry with each other. Paige can be seen practicing her free throws during shootarounds, in a video uploaded by NBA Insider, Grant Afseth. However, what makes this training camp more interesting is the cohesion the players are finding with each other.

DiJonai Carrington recently moved to the Dallas Wings and has found her perfect partner for banter in Paige Bueckers. As you could already see in the video above, the two seem to already have bonded to form a great relationship. While Paige kept knocking all her free-throws, DiJonai distracting her did not shift her laser focus on the rim at all.

DiJonai and Paige are also going viral on TikTok with their new posts. Very recently, the two young Wings stars uploaded a TikTok to the song What The Helly, which has been going viral on social media since the last couple of weeks.

The Dallas Wings might try to recover from their 9-31 record from last season in 2025. With veteran coach Curt Miller as the GM, the Wings have also plucked USC assistant coach Chris Koclanes to take the helm as the head coach. With Paige Bueckers, the Wings could try an exciting lineup alongside her on the backcourt with Arike Ogunbowale.

Bueckers is most expected to have a big impact as a newcomer, especially since she has been toughened under coach Geno Auriemma during her five years at UConn. Adding to their guard depth, Dallas also acquired Aziah James and 2x Big 12 Defensive player of the year JJ Quinerly as well. Furthermore, with players such as Madison Scott, the squad has more versatility to rely on for this season. Expect the Wings to play a larger lineup, which could include a true center as well, given they have also snagged Baylor big Aaronette Vonleh as well.
