The pension scheme applies to former cricketers who fall under a particular criterion, such as playing a minimum number of first-class matches (25 or more) or Test matches before the 2003-04 season cutoff. Women cricketers who played international matches or retired before 2003 are also included.

Sunil Gavaskar:

He has been one of the greats of the game and has played 125 tests and scored 10,122 runs. Gavaskar receives a pension of INR 70,000 per month.

Sachin Tendulkar:

The God of Cricket has played 200 Tests and scored 15,921 runs. He also receives a pension of INR 70,000 per month.

Rahul Dravid:

The Wall played 164 tests and scored 13,288 runs. He also receives a pension of INR 70,000 per month.

MS Dhoni:

The former Indian captain is the only captain to win all ICC trophies and receives a monthly pension of INR 70,000 from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Vinod Kambli:

He has played 17 Tests, scored 1,082 runs, and is known for back-to-back double centuries. He receives a pension of INR 30,000 per month.

BCCI Pension Scheme:

The BCCI pension fund assists retired Indian cricketers and rewards players with five or more Test matches or substantial first-class experience. It was revised in 2022 and raised pensions substantially. Test players now get INR 60,000–70,000 per month (from INR 37,500–50,000), and first-class players receive INR 30,000.
