India Pacer to Play in England For New Zealand Test Series

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has already started preparing for their next Test assignment, just days after the conclusion of the Sri Lanka tour. In the latest development, pacer Auqib Nabi will play County Cricket in England in order to prepare for the next Test series in New Zealand.

For the past few days, there were reports suggesting that the BCCI is in contact with various County teams to help Nabi get a contract. Now, this is official that the star pace bowling all-rounder will make his County debut.

Auqib Nabi To Play County Cricket

Auqib Nabi has joined Surrey for a three-match stint in this season of County Championship. He is likely to make his County debut against Yorkshire in a match starting from September 2 at The Oval, London.

Coming to Auqib Nabi matches in County cricket, the Indian quick is likely to travel to Hove to play Sussex from September 8 after the game against Yorkshire. He will then return to The Oval to face Glamorgan from September 15.

Auqib Nabi County debut is a good news for the Indian cricket team as he gets to prepare for the all-important New Zealand tour, to be played later this year. The conditions in New Zealand are likely to be similar, which will help the pacer get acclimatized.
