In recent years, Indian Test cricket has suffered some of the humiliating defeats, especially on their home turf. Considering the poor Test match performances, the BCCI has taken up an initiative at the BCCI COE to arrange a special camp to work on red-ball talent and keep them ready for future tours.

Amid the IPL 2026, the announcement was made that the BCCI will hold a special camp for the young cricketers across the states who did well in domestic cricket to work on them and keep them ready for India A tours and ultimately the senior Test team. This was initiated by VVS Laxman along with other former Indian cricketers who will show expertise in their respective fields.

However, at the end of June, many state cricket associations were posting about their players being selected for the BCCI Emerging Men's Tournament 2026. Let's find out the BCCI Emerging Men's Tournament 2026 schedule and top players to watch out for.

BCCI Emerging Men's Tournament 2026 Schedule

The BCCI Emerging Men's Tournament 2026 is scheduled to be played from July 6 to July 24, 2026. All the matches will be played at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence (COE), where world-class facilities are provided, and there are several grounds where matches can be played simultaneously. The players will be divided into 4 teams, which will compete against each other, and each match will be of 3-days.

This camp is expected to bring best out of the youngsters and make them strong enough to compete against some of the best cricketers in the world. However, BCCI Emerging Men's Tournament 2026 Schedule is not officially announced but the tentative could be like this:

BCCI Emerging Men's Tournament Players to Watch

The BCCI Emerging Men's Tournament will feature some of the young talents across the states who have all the potential to represent India in the future and are coming after solid form in the domestic circuit. From Punjab, players who have been selected are: Uday Saharan (Team A), Harnoor Singh (Team A), Salil Arora (Team A), Emanjot Singh Chahal (Team B), Krish Bhagat (Team B) and Harjas Singh Tandon (Team C).

Sambit Baral has been selected for Team A, who belongs to Odisha, whereas young Ravi Kumar from Bengal has been selected for Team C. Three players from Chhattisgarh have also been selected: Varun Singh Bhuie in Team A, Mayank Verma in Team B and Ayush Pandey in Team D.
