Chucking Controversy Rocks Pakistan After Cameron Green’s Massive Claim

Pakistan and Australia played against each other in the second match of the ongoing three-match T20I series at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on January 31. After winning the first T20I, the hosts managed to win the second match as well, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.

Meanwhile, more than the match, a shocking incident took place during the match when Australia's star all-rounder Cameron Green looked disappointed while walking back to the pavilion after getting out to the off-spinner Usman Tariq.

Cameron Green Chucking Allegations on Usman Tariq

During the PAK vs AUS 2nd T20I, Australian all-rounder Cameron Green was not happy with Pakistan spinner Usman Tariq due to his strange bowling action. Tariq came to bowl his first over of the match and dismissed Green in the fifth ball of the over, while conceding only six runs. The spinner, as he usually does, took a little pause before releasing the ball from his hand.

Green, who is one of the best all-rounders in the world, tried to play a short towards mid-off but ended up top edging it. The ball went high in the air and Shadab Khan took the catch comfortably at the backward point. Green departed after scoring a quickfire 35 runs off 20 balls and showed his capabilities of one of the most dangerous batsmen in the world. However, while walking back to the pavilion, he looked frustrated and did the throwing gestures, signalling that Tariq was allegedly chucking.

The Usman Tariq Cameron Green controversy flooded the social media with the users giving mixed opinions. Green's wicket turned out to be the turning point in the match as the Australian team were wrapped up for just 108 runs, thus, losing the match by a huge margin of 90 runs. The two back-to-back losses have raised a big concern for the Australia, especially when the T20 World Cup is set to start soon.
