In a high-stakes final, Deepti oozed her class with the bat and ball. First, she stepped up with the bat and scored a valiant fifty, scoring an unbeaten 58.

Then with the ball, Deepti provided India with crucial breakthroughs at a time when it seemed that South Africa would chase the target easily. SA captain Laura Wolvaardt was going great guns with her century. But it was Deepti who removed her and closed the IND vs SA Women World Cup final perfectly. She picked up five wickets in the final, helping India win the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 by 52 runs.
