During an exclusive interview with Sportsdunia, Indian cricket coach Jwala Singh expressed his views on Prithvi Shaw. He said “I was not ready to take him under me as he was already an established cricketer by that time. But his father requested me several times to coach him. Then I accepted the offer and started coaching. Prithvi was doing well, but in a short amount of time, he got a lot of big contracts, success, and fame, which backfired for his career.”

The MCC coach further added, “He could not handle these situations. He did not train well to upgrade his game and refused to accept his mistakes. Prithvi failed to achieve the heights he could have. I feel bad how he could not make a name for himself despite having the talent.
