There have been some of the best umpires in cricket who are admired for their accuracy and fairness towards the game. One such name is Rod Tucker, who is about to create history in the 1st test match between England and New Zealand.

History in Making: Rod Tucker 100 Tests as Umpire

Rod Tucker Umpire is all set to officiate his 100th test in international cricket during the England vs New Zealand 1st test at The Lord's, London. Rod Tucker in ENG vs NZ will make him the first Australian umpire to feature in 100 test matches, and overall the 4th umpire to achieve this feat. Over the years, Tucker has been exceptionally well on the field while umpiring, where he is known to give fair decisions and has the ability to handle immense pressure in high-stakes international matches.

Rod Tucker started his career as a cricket player who used to be a left-hand batter and medium pacer, playing domestic cricket for New South Wales and Tasmania. After a 14-year playing career in domestic cricket, he transitioned to umpiring in the early 2000s and joined the ICC Elite Umpire Panel in 2010. He has been an umpire for matches between some of the best cricket teams in the world, as well as ICC Men's Cricket World Cups.

Which Other Cricket Umpires Have Completed 100 Test Matches?

Only four top cricket umpires have officiated in 100 or more Test matches. Aleem Dar leads the list with 145 matches. He is followed by Steve Bucknor, who stood in 128 Tests and was the first to reach 100 matches in 2005. Rudi Koertzen is third with 108 matches. Australia’s Rod Tucker is the latest to join the list as he will be officiating his 100th test match during the ENG vs NZ 1st test match at The Lord's, London.
