Apart from India, Ireland have also defeated England once, during the T20 World Cup 2022 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. It was a rain-affected game, which the Irish managed to win by 5 runs. Interestingly, England went on to become the champions of the tournament later.

The Irish have also defeated South Africa once in the T20I format. During the two-match T20I series played in Abu Dhabi in 2024, the Proteas won the first match. However, Ireland won the second game by 10 runs to tie the series and clinch a memorable win.
