The passing of legendary Indian singer Asha Bhosle at 92 has sparked an outpouring of tributes on social media by her fans and a lot of renowned celebrities as well. However, it has also brought renewed attention to viral rumours linking her family to Indian cricketer Mohammed Siraj.

The rumours started when Siraj, one of the best bowlers in the world, was seen with Asha Bhosle's granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle, at a public event. Their public appearance together ignited rumours about a possible relationship between Siraj and the Bhosle family.

However, there is no direct relation between the two of them. Mohammed Siraj relation with Asha Bhosle is limited only to the former's bond with Zanai, which both have addressed publicly as well. Zanai once referred to Siraj as her brother in a social media post, making it clear that the Mohammed Siraj and Zanai Bhosle relationship is just a pure bond between them.

According to a report in the Indian Express, Zanai Bhosle has also tied Rakhi to Mohammed Siraj, bringing their dating rumors to a halt. Zanai released the sweet video in which she also received a shagun envelope from the India bowler.

One of the other reasons why Mohammed Siraj is trending on social media is the ongoing LSG vs GT IPL 2026 match. The star pacer is in action at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Siraj provided a great start to the team by bowling three overs and picking up an important wicket of LSG skipper Rishabh Pant, while conceding only 12 runs in his first spell.

Siraj was also a part of India's ICC T20 World Cup winning campaign. However, the pacer played only one match in the tournament, against USA, where he contributed enough by returning figures of 3-29 in four overs. Siraj wasn't originally a part of India's T20 World Cup squad but got a chance after Harshit Rana got injured.
