ILT20 Continental Cup 2026 Schedule, Teams, Squads & Venue

The ILT20 Continental Cup 2026 brings together five top African cricketing nations, which are some of the best cricket teams in the world, host Rwanda, defending champions Uganda, Kenya, Botswana, and Sierra Leone, for an intense multi-week T20 tournament in Kigali from September 8 to 19, 2026. Uganda enters as two-time defending champion with a squad led by captain Riazat Ali Shah and vice-captain Kenneth Waiswa, using the event as vital preparation for upcoming ICC qualifiers.

The tournament follows a double round-robin format played across the Gahanga B Oval and Gahanga Main Oval, with a designated rest day on September 14. Uganda opens its campaign on September 09 against Sierra Leone, culminating in the title final on Saturday, September 19 at Gahanga Main.

ILT20 Continental Cup 2026 Schedule

The official match fixtures for the ILT20 Continental Cup 2026 Schedule are out for an action-packed, multi-week T20 tournament held entirely in Kigali, Rwanda. Featuring top regional sides including Kenya, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Botswana, and Uganda, the group phase kicks off at one of the smallest cricket stadiums in the world, Gahanga B Oval, on September 08 before transitioning to the main Gahanga Stadium for the crucial second leg.

The tournament follows a round-robin schedule leading into a designated rest day on September 14. Teams will battle for vital standings ahead of the grand final on Saturday, September 19, where the top contenders will clash for the championship title at Gahanga Main.

ILT20 Continental Cup Squads

At this stage, Uganda, Kenya and Botswana are the only participating nations to have confirmed their ILT20 Continental Cup squad 2026. Riazat Ali Shah has been appointed captain, and Kenneth Waiswa will serve as his deputy. Robert Owili and Pius Oloka have been included as reserve players.

Squads for the other teams such as Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Malawi, Nigeria and Tanzania are yet to be officially confirmed and will be updated once the respective cricket boards announce their selections.
