The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is going through a critical time as Dream11 will no longer serve as the sponsor of the Indian Cricket Team. On Monday, the Board ended its ties with Dream11 as the sports fantasy platform is banned by the Indian government. This happened after the passage of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill in both houses of parliament last Thursday. Dream11 joined hands with the BCCI in 2023 and had a contract until 2026. However, with the new bill in place, their contract had to be dismissed by the Board.

Ahead of the Asia Cup 2025, the Indian team is without a title sponsor. The 15-member squad for the tournament has been already announced, and the jerseys were printed with Dream11 on them, but the Board assured that they wouldn't use them and would adhere to the government's guidelines.

"If it's not permissible, we'll not do anything. The BCCI will follow every policy of the country that is framed by the central government," said BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia on Friday. BCCI made a deal with Dream11 worth INR 358 crores. With just a few days left for the tournament to start, the Board is looking at options that can serve as the title sponsor for the cricket team.

Top 3 Dream11 Replacements as India New Jersey Sponsor for Asia Cup 2025

As per reports, there are many brands that have reached out to the BCCI, the richest cricket board in the world, regarding India's title sponsorship. However, among them, three brands have stood out until now, and the Board is looking into extending a partnership with one of them. According to reports, the Board is expecting more money than the previous deal, so they'll look into brands that have money as well as credibility. While nothing has been made official yet, it will be crucial for the Board to make a deal since the Asia Cup 2025 is almost 15 days away.

Tata Group

The Tata Group is one of the prime candidates for the title sponsorship of the Indian team. Reports suggest that they have contacted the BCCI and have shown their interest in the deal. Tata Group is already the current principal sponsor of the Indian Premier League. Moreover, it has a good record with sports sponsorship in the past as well. Hence, the Tata Group can be trustworthy in terms of handling the jerseys of the Indian team.

Reliance Industries

Owned by Mukesh Ambani, Reliance Industries can also be a good sponsor for the cricket team. They are a strong contender for the deal, considering their net worth, popularity, and the fact that Nita Ambani already owns an IPL franchise. They have massive investments across multiple sports, including cricket and football, which makes them a credible candidate. Moreover, Reliance Jio has merged with Hotstar and has the broadcast rights as well. So, the Board most likely can choose Reliance Industries as the title sponsor of the Indian team.

Toyota Motor Corporation

The Toyota Motor Corporation has come forward as a potential sponsor for the cricket team. For years, it has formed a name in the automobile business and is now looking to associate the name with the BCCI. While Toyota Motors doesn't hold much experience in the sports department, it would be intriguing to watch them make their bid for the title sponsorship.

Toyota also sponsors the Team Australia, one of the best cricket teams in the world. In the end, the brand that had placed the highest bid would win the battle.
