Kuldeep Yadav Leaving India vs South Africa Test Match? BCCI in ACTION

Meanwhile, one of India's star bowlers has requested for leave in between the ongoing IND vs SA Test series. The name of the bowler is Kuldeep Yadav, who is among the best spinners in the world. Let's find out the reason behind Kuldeep Yadav leave request.
Reason Behind Kuldeep Yadav Leave Request
Amidst the ongoing Test series, Kuldeep Yadav has requested a week's leave from BCCI for his wedding that is likely to be held towards the last week of November. Reports suggest that the star bowler has approached the board and is yet to get a confirmation regarding Kuldeep Yadav leave request.
Moreover, the dates aren't confirmed yet, so he can miss IND vs SA 2nd Test match and return to play the ODI series, starting on November 30. The second match between India and South Africa will be played in Guwahati from November 22. It will also mark the first ever Test match in the city.
Kuldeep Yadav wedding is with his childhood best friend, Vanshika. The couple got engaged on June 4, 2025 in a private ceremony. “Kuldeep’s wedding is planned for the last week of November. The team management will assess when they need his services before granting him the exact number of leaves,” a BCCI source informed.

Kuldeep Yadav Bags Two Wickets as IND Pressure SA on Day 1
In the ongoing Test match, the home team looks in a commanding position as they bowled out South Africa for 159 runs in 55 overs in the first innings in Kolkata. Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, and Mohammed Siraj's terrific bowling dominated the opponent batters throughout the innings. Despite being in form, none of the batters crossed the 30-run mark which was quite disappointing.
While Bumrah claimed a fifer, Siraj and Kuldeep bagged two wickets each. Once again, Bumrah showed why he is the best bowler in the world and is the leader of the pack. It was a brilliant effort from the fielding team. Markram was the highest run-scorer with 31 off 48 balls, including five boundaries and one six. When the Indian batters came out to bat, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal went back to the pavilion on just 12 runs. Since then, KL Rahul and Washington Sundar have held the innings well. By the end of the day, India were 37-1 in 20 overs.
It was surprising to see Sundar at No. 3 position but since India have one batter less in the team, the management went ahead with the decision. With four more days to go, the Eden Gardens crowd is likely to see many twists and turns in the future. Since South Africa are the defending champion, they'll not let the match slide away from them without giving a tough fight.
