The AFG vs IND 1st T20I is set to be played on September 13 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The second and third T20Is will also be played at the same venue on September 15 and 17 respectively.

With the series set to get underway, the AFG vs IND match official list has also been announced. Afghanistan Cricket Board, the official hosts of the series, have made the annoucement ahead of the series oepner on social media. Here's the full list:

The AFG vs IND T20I umpires are all from Afghanistan. Ahmad Shah Durrani, Ahmad Shah Pakteen, Farooq Khan and Izatullah Safi are part of the ICC International Panel of Umpires for the 2026-27 season. All of them are quite experienced and are amongst the best umpires in cricket. Adding to it, they have been officiating regularly in Afghanistan's domestic cricket.

Dean Cosker To Be AFG vs IND T20I Match Referee

Englishman Dean Cosker will be match referee for the Afghanistan vs India T20I series. His appointment adds an overseas official to the series. He is listed by the ICC among the Emerging Match Referees for the 2026-27 season, a group whose members are considered for development opportunities and additional international assignments.

The appointment also comes during an important series for Afghanistan and India. Afghanistan are officially hosting the three-match bilateral series, although all three games are being staged in Delhi.

The series marks the first bilateral T20I contest between the two sides since January 2024 and is part of Afghanistan's efforts to strengthen its cricketing relationship with India. Hence, it is named as the ‘Friendship Cup’.

Both teams have some of the best T20 batsmen and this series promises to be an exciting one. Afghanistan will be led by their newly-appointed captain Ibrahim Zadran while Shreyas Iyer will be leading India. With an eye on the Asian Games just a few days later, both sides will be looking to fine-tune their preparations.
