Pakistan Tri Series

Pakistan is set to host a T20I tri-nation series for the first time, with Sri Lanka and Afghanistan joining as the participating teams. The Pakistan Tri-series schedule has been out, and this series is seen as a vital part of all three sides’ preparations ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which is scheduled for next year in India and Sri Lanka.

The tournament kicks off on November 17, with PAK vs AFG at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The upcoming Pakistan Tri-series will begin just over a week after the conclusion of one of the best cricket teams in the world, South Africa’s multi-format Tour of Pakistan. With the T20 World Cup approaching, the Pakistan team has been actively seeking more game time in the shortest format. The tournament, set to take place next year in India and Sri Lanka, will see Pakistan playing all of their matches on Sri Lankan soil.

Pakistan Tri-Series to Feature Afghanistan and Sri Lanka

The Afghan players have previously featured in five ODI matches in Pakistan, the most recent during this year's ICC Men’s Champions Trophy. This will be their maiden T20 International on Pakistani soil. The AFG vs SL clash will take place on November 19 in Rawalpindi. The remaining matches, including the final, will be held in Lahore. The tri-series will run from November 17 to 29 and will provide a good chance for all 3 teams to prepare and try their combinations before the grand ICC event in 2026.

PCB Chief Operating Officer Sumair Ahmed expressed his views on the historic series. “We’re excited to host Sri Lanka and Afghanistan in what will be Pakistan’s first T20I tri-series,” he said in a statement released on the PCB’s official website. “This series serves as valuable preparation for the World Cup, and we’re confident it will deliver entertaining cricket for fans in both Rawalpindi and Lahore.”
